Pak Angels, in collaboration with its partners, iCodeGuru, Aspire Pakistan, The Engineers Pakistan, and a few friends from Silicon Valley, proudly conducted the Opening Session and Module 1: Intro to Gen-AI of our Essential Generative-AI Training Program. Engr. Jawed Salim Qureshi, two-time ex-Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and Chairman of The Engineers Pakistan, delivered a keynote speech on the importance of learning Generative AI for students, faculty members, and professional engineers. Additional insights were shared by Shehram Jamal, Sr. Director of AI Applications at one of the leading AI Chip and Platform companies, nVidia. Pak Angels founder and president, Mohammad Anwar Khan (author), emphasized how Generative AI is set to be a global game changer, citing Goldman Sachs Research's forecast that Generative AI will add $7 trillion to global GDP over the next 10 years. He highlighted that this is a prime opportunity for every Pakistani to leverage this phenomenal technology to enhance their professional and financial value. With a large youth population trained in Gen-AI skills, serving the global market could significantly boost the country's economic growth. While working at Taleemabad in Islamabad, M. Danish Iqbal shared how, within 6 months, he learned Generative AI without prior programming experience and developed a highly valuable service for school teachers to automatically grade exams of their students. This program has been rolled out to 400+ Federal schools and 30+ private schools in Pakistan. Similarly, Arib Khan, my nephew, at the young age of 19, was able to develop a very successful online service, Musicfy.lol, in just two months by March 2023, making it highly successful without any investor funding, using only his pocket money. Today, this service has more than 4 million subscribers and growing, his startup has a market value in millions, and he has been profitable for the last year. Arib Khan is worth millions at the age of 20, achieving this within the last 18 months. Participants were inspired by these stories, recognizing that if these achievers could do it, they could too! What a wonderful conversation by our youth, dropping all inhibitions and aiming for success. Similarly, Hassan Syed, Founder of Aspire Pakistan, a technology entrepreneur recognized globally for his innovation and technology leadership, shared his experience of building Gen-AI-based Chatbots, where CareerGPT, StartupGPT, and WorkingAbroadGPT gained #1, #8, and #9 ratings globally. We were thrilled to have over 1,070 participants, including students, faculty members, entrepreneurs, professional engineers, and freelancers, join us for this inaugural session. Their dedication was evident as they stayed engaged for the entire 2-hour training, demonstrating a keen interest in learning the game-changing applications of Generative AI for their professional growth. This program comprises 8 comprehensive training modules delivered over 6-8 weeks, tailored to participant engagement and hands-on practice. The training will culminate in a Hackathon and Grand Quizzes, ensuring that our participants not only learn essential Gen-AI application development capabilities but also apply these skills to earn higher wages, meet market demands, and accelerate their professional growth. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting journey towards innovation and excellence in Generative AI!
